Does Obama or next US President fix strategic mistakes in the Middle East?

After September 11, tragic attack on Twin Towers, President Bush targeted Al-Qaeda basis in Afghanistan. Iranian regime, as godfather ofterrorism, feared that it would be the next target on global fight against terrorism. So, it applied some measures to divert coalition forces toward a false target. Iranian Mullahs pretended to join the coalition on fight againstTaliban and Al-Qaeda. Whereas they housed Al-Qaeda top officials in Iran.

Iran stared to feed U.S. with faulty intelligence on Iraq. This mission conducted by Iranian regime’s Iraqi agent called Ahmed Chalabi. Chalabi pretend that former Iraqi government was developing Mass Destruction Weapons. That false information led President Bush to make its strategic mistake to invade Iraq. Mullahs in Iran used Iraq invasion as an opportunity to fulfill their dream of liberating Jerusalem via Karbala. Mullahs started spreading all over Iraq right after the invasion. Iran strategy to set U.S. back in Iraq was to destabilize Iraq by entering the country on a chaos. Iran sponsored all terrorist Jihadist groups – both Shias and Sunnis - by sending arms and personnel and training.

George W. Bush had an opportunity in 2007-2008 to cut Iran’s hand in Iraq. General David Petraeus, backed Sunnis minority to fight against spreading Al-Qaeda influence in Iraq. That was a right strategy which was neglected later on, especially during Obama’s administration.
During Iraqi presidential election in 2009, polls suggested that the secularist Allawi coalition (Iraqiya list) has won an outstanding victory, nevertheless Obama administration decided not to challenge Iran which led Maliki to run its second run as Iraqi Prime minster.

Maliki, as a poppet of Mullahs in Iraq, had a major role in spreading influence of Iran in Iraq. Maliki had long record of suppressing Sunnis minority and margining them. He also supported Assad in Syria by sending Iraqi militias and letting arm to be bypassed via Iraq to Assad. Obama’s administration closed its eyes and gave Maliki full support. While Maliki was killing Sunnis and Iraq was in chaos, Obama invited Maliki to the White house and praised him for his role in promoting democracy in Iraq.  Supporting Maliki was another strategic mistake of Obama which led to the rise of ISIS.
Now we are facing a question, if Obama and Bush learned of their mistakes in Iraq? Do they believe that current chaos in Iraq and the Middle East is outcome of their weak policy toward Iran?
I don’t think President Obama took any lesson, since he is still appeasing Mullahs during current nuclear deal. But Obama still has a chance to remedy its terrible policy in the Middle East. The solution is having firm position against Iran, specially during nuclear talks with Iran. Iranian people and Iranian resistance are ready for change. More than 100 thousands Iranian announced on their great annual gathering in Paris that they are seeking democratic change in Iran. The only chance that Obama or next U.S. President have to let the Middle East be in Peace is to listen to the Iranian resistance cry for change in Iran.

By toppling Mullahs by the hand of Iranian resistance, there will be no support for Hezbollah in Lebanon, Assad in Syria and Shia militias in Iraq. In this situation, Arab countries will feel that they won’t be threatened by Iran anymore. Only in this circumstances all Muslim world can be united against any kind of Islamic Fundamentalism including fighting against ISIS.
