During my today’s search in twitter, I noticed a hashtag of
#StopGodFatherofISIS. Tweets on this hashtag guided my to a YouTube video. So,
I decided to write about who is godfather of ISIS?
Iranians have dubbed their government the 'godfather' of the
Islamic State militant group, Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of National
Council of Resistance of Iran told a US House subcommittee.
Terrorism and fundamentalism under the name of Islam came to
the world as seen by the mullahs’ regime in Iran. Khomeini was the first one
who theorized Velayat-e faqih, a Khalife, who should have both political and
religious supremacy all over the Muslims and he is the one who should lead the
whole Muslim states. This is the same idea that ISIS is based upon. Despite all their differences, ISIS is very
close to the fundamentalists ruling in Iran and even on occasions they have
cooperated.
Iranian regime helped the creation of ISIS. Ex-Iraqi Prime
Minister, a poppet of Mullahs, governed Iraq for 8 years. During this period
Iran spread its control all over Iraq. Iran has been helping Iraqi leaders to
fight the Sunnis militants by arming and advising Shiite militias. So Sunnis
feel they have being set aside in the political environment of Iraq which
helped the emergence of ISIS. Now this jihadist group has captured territories
in Iraq and Syria.
Every atrocities committed by ISIS that we see on YouTube
videos every day is not new for Iranians.
Mullahs have implemented all instruments of terror and torture towards
their own people. In 1988 they massacred 30 thousands political prisoners
during less than a month. They carry on
public executions and lashes to terrify people. They stone women to death in
public. They impute people’s eyes and hands. Several months ago, they carried
on acid attacks against women on the pretext of bad-veiling which rose
international condemnation of this brutal medieval action.
The first Tehran University chancellor after the downfall of
the monarchy in Iran and a former political prisoner, Dr. Maleki, spoke about
the tortures he witnessed while incarcerated in various prisons in Iran and
described the Iranian regime as the godfather of groups such as Islamic State
(ISIS). In an article entitled “The regime of Velayat-e faqih, the godfather of
Islamic fundamentalism” Dr. Maleki explains the horrible torture that he
witnessed in the 1980s while incarcerated in the notorious Evin Prison in
northern Tehran and Ghezel Hesar Prison in the city of Karaj.
So, this is the time
to stop godfather of ISIS in order to prevent spread of Islamic extremism
ideology. The mullahs’ regime is not part of any solution as we attempt to deal
with Islamic fundamentalism. It is indeed the heart of the problem, and the
ultimate solution is regime change in Iran. This will cut the head of octopus
whose one of tentacles is ISIS.
